I’m a huge Spotify fan and very rarely use the other streaming sites to listen to house music, but given we are the PlaylistDJ’s we are on a mission to familairise ourselves with the other music streaming platforms that are out there at the moment. We’ve got others like Deezer, but for the purposes of this blog post we are going to look closer at house music playlists on Amazon Music.
I wrote a blog on the differences between Amazon and Spotify and you can read this here > Difference between Amazon and Spotify Music Streaming Services.

Now, the playlistDJ’s are mainly about the deep house music genre, with the occasional look back to old skool tunes, but for the purposes of this post, let’s look at five Amazon House Music Playlists we recommend. This will help you get started on your Amazon Music journey!
1 – Oldskool Search

Oldskool playlists are very limited on Amazon Music, so the best we could find here is this Album which is the ‘Top 40 Rave Anthems – 40 Uplifting classic old school trance, acid techno and house tracks. in reality these are the more commercial and well known tracks from back in the day, but there are still some cracking tracks to be found in here. Why don’t you go about making your own oldskool playlist from the tracks you find?
2 – Chill Out Electronic Music

So lets go from one end of the electronic music spectrum to the other. After listening to a bit of rave music, how about trying out some chill. There are some classics in here starting off with Les Nuits from Nightmares on Wax. This is a playlist made by ‘Amazon Music Experts’ so the quaity is pretty high in their track selection. To listen to chill out classic click here.
3 -Deep House Amazon Playlist

Ok, so hands up, we use the term deep house loosely here. This is a playlist we made quickly on Amazon with titles added under the banner of deep house. Now if you take a listen purists will shoot it down, but there are some decent tracks in here. Detroit Swindle for example regularly push out some classic, funky deep house tracks. This is a playlist put together by the playlistDJs!
4 – Dance Music Search

We did a search for ‘house music’ and suprisingly not along came up, however there were a lot more playlists found under ‘dance music’. The tracks in here are very popular and commercial (not our typical style) but when it starts with Music Sounds Better with You by Stardust, you’re on to a winner (at times). Again, this playlist is by Amazon’s Music Experts. Looks like they could be doing with some more user generated playlists, in our opinion.
5 – Trance Playlist

Admiteddly, we don’t listen to much trance or techno made now (although that’s a great genre), we did listen to it back in the early 2000s. For that reason we made a playlist with some classic trance tracks from folks such as Binary Finary and Klubbheads. For anyone looking for some dance and trance nostalgia then be sure to check out ‘Trance from 2000s by playlistDJs‘. Enjoy.
So that wraps up our 5 playlists to listen to on Amazon Music. It feels like Amazon playlists are at their early stage however there are 60 mil tracks on there so you could get in early and make some fresh content on there.
