The playlistDJs started off as a hobby for me when I launched our Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest pages about 7 years ago. Since then we’ve built up a modest but engaged audience of about 15,000 people. Just recently, I’ve decided to turn the Playlist DJs into a business and I’m looking at ways of doing this whislt serving that nice little audience we have. One consideration is to be a deep house hub and offer excellent products and services that already exist. In this post I will look at that very thing for you guys and it will also help me decide the best avenue to go down.

One of the first people that comes to mind when it comes to music marketing is Omari MC. On our internet travels we often bump into his video posts, dispensing some great music marketing advice.
When you visit his website you’re greeted with his ‘no-nonsense music marketing promotion services’ page.
The key services on offer are:
- Promotion
- Management
- Coaching
Essentialy, Omari MC teaches you how to make money through music. He boasts clients such as Warner Music, VH1 & Slip n Slide Records.
He does this through promotion on the most social media platforms such as Tik Tok, You Tube and Spotify plus helps with PR, Podcast and Radio promotion.
I’d suggest the things that tie in with the Playlist DJs audience is going to be TO BE FINISHED WITH LINKS

The next up is We Make Dance Music. We’ve noticed a lot of activity by them on Instagram and they run an affiliate programme that we’ve just signed up for!
Their site tag line is: ”The Music Prodction Market Place”.
On first look the site looks to be aimed at the house music producer. It has some excellent content and references some production big hitters such as Ableton and Logic Pro, amongst others. There are many packs to be bought but not only that, they’ve got some great courses to help you on your way on your music production journey.
There affiliate programme boasts a commission of 25% which is realtively generous. To add to this, any user you send over is offered 20% off the product to, so its a win win situation. There’s a $25 minimum balance requirment before payout. On first look it doesn’t comment on how long the link is live for, although usually it’s 28 days but don’t quote us on that.
If you’ve used We Make Dance Music before or have experience of their affiliate programme, we’d love to hear about your experience in the comments!

So, Ditto Music are a well known music distribution service who pave a pathway for producers to get their music on the worlds biggest platforms.
Essentially, for £19 you can take your track and have it uploaded to platforms such as Spotify, iTunes & Apple Music and the like. Sounds good doesn’t it?
As for the referral scheme, you’re going to attain 30% of the value of the sale. The minimum payout value here is $100. On first look it doesn’t say how long your affiliate link will be valid from. We certainly look forward to exploring Ditto Music further for affiliate marketing purposes.
Next up on the list is Juno Records. If you’re a house / dance music producer, fan or DJ you’ll be very familiar with Juno. Whilst I’m not a DJ, I did have Sony decks for about a year in the year 2000 and recall browsing the Juno Website for some tunes. They actually launched their website as far back as 1996, would you believe.
They currently release 500 releases per week with a total of 45,000 in stock. These guys are big players!
They also have some high end music tech equipment too, aimed at the DJ’d and Producers amongst us.
I did apply to join the Juno affiliate scheme lately but that was before I had my website in place and thus far I’ve not been set up. I get that however as you need a well visited site in the house music space first before it would work.
That said, lets look at their scheme to see what’s what with their affiliate set up…
Earn £5 simply for signing up and a further £5 after your first 50 click-throughs!
The affiliate program offers a unique opportunity to make money by linking to millions of products on Juno.co.uk and JunoDownload.com. Posting links, audio players, eye-catching imagery and banners can compliment your site and provide a more engaging user experience.
Affiliates will receive:
- Commissions of up to 10%
- Commission period of up to 28 days
- A monthly allowance of free tracks and downloads
- Partner discounts of up to 15% on all Juno stock – from vinyl to CD to headphones to CD decks
- Earn an extra 1% on sales generated by new affiliates that you refer to Juno. (See our Sub-affiliate scheme)
- Larger average sale than other sites as Juno sells physical music and high-value DJ equipment.
A number of comprehensive tools and resources are available to enhance your partnersihp with Juno. We believe that this is the most robust and generous affiliate program around and if chosen to be a partner, you can expect a high level of service and support from us.
That was sraight from the Juno website.
